So Ryu,

Est le nom porté par notre dōjō de kyūdō de l’école Heki Ryū Bishū Chikurin-ha, dirigée par Kanjuro Shibata Sensei XXI.
Installé dans la Drôme depuis 2009, Sō Ryū, est un des rares dōjō de France offrant la pratique de cet ancien art martial de la lignée authentique des facteurs d’arcs de l’empereur du Japon.

 Le mot kyūdō est composé
 de deux idéogrammes, ou kanji:
kyū qui veut dire arc et dō qui signifie chemin.

 

Nos arcs traditionnels en bambou, spécifiques à la pratique du kyūdō
 sont appelés yumi et sont confectionnés pour notre école, par Kanjuro Shibata Sensei XXI lui-même.
